We like a purpose for the railway. The names of the locations can be found on the O.S map. There is an evolution of events which for me is like reading a history book. At it's peak, 2005, we had over forty locos (all steam) along with a huge variety of rolling stock. Since then, we have taken track out & introduced a range of green diesels & have just put a green dmu into service. Only the week before Christmas, my grandson removed a loop crossover that was little used, but allowed the reverse curve to be graduated to scale. Pam & I often enjoy a cuppa, sat in the railway room, even without anything moving & our minds drift into the pretence of being there in the early sixties. We have acoustic CDs which we play to give a complete impression. This diagram does not include either extensions, the through line at Hounds Hill or the Longford Park Terminus & Goods yard.
