A hobby that gave us a bond of trust in each other. Our bunk bed is now where this old railway was. The railway had to mean somthing to Michael so it was modern image for him. At age ten he had already learned how to assemble airfix trucks. The wooden plank wagons just in view were his work. I was proud of him as indeed I should be. I am now proud of him, when he has to sort me out with my computer & IT issues nowadays, along with my friends on this site. His railway interest was his choice, it was never forced down him. Just to explain, this top view section covers a five line fiddle yard, which is five inches below. Every train emerging from the fiddle-yard faces a one in forty climb, circumnavigating the room.
