Like the real railways, our model needs maintainence from time to time. This section of fiddle yard (not normally seen) with the houses in Mill Lane moved out of the way, I have spent several hours replacing a piece of track here. Note the box section construction which is strong enough for me to rest a plank across to it which takes my weight. The fiddle yards are kept very simple so that maintainence is very rare. This is the first replacement here in ten years, but access to all parts has to be born in mind during construction. Please feel free to ask any question. Model railways are fun but mistakes in the early stages of construction can be costly & produce blue smoke. The blue smoke is from my bad manners when I realise a silly mistake, but I served my apprenticeship on previous model railways so have learned the hard way.
