Hi Helen
I had a feeling they would be readily available, but just to find it in this obscure part of eastern Australia was such a surprise. Assuming anyone in Coventry can go and buy it, I will keep this one on my shelves, and the grandkids will ultimately be able to see how the Christian Churches scared the sh*t, or the hell, out of (or into) their communities. Until very recently, Australia had a government that relied on that sort of strategy, so it won't be entirely foreign to them. I'm not sure what impact it would have on my grandkids, but if they can watch Game of Thrones without turning into bloodthirsty terrorists, and watch online salesmen without getting hooked, they should be able to cope with the (hopefully) ridiculous idea of Judgement Day! Fingers crossed! True Blue Coventry Kid

Helen F, do you know who drew the picture of the church you put up on Nov 22, 2019?
I've not seen it before.

Thank you, NeilsYard.
I've seen some of his other stuff, but never this picture. Marvellous.
That and the Turner one are splendid. |

Neil's right, Troughton did draw something very similar but I'm not sure that specific copy is his. It's tagged as Jordan Well (which it's not, it's the priory mill pond) by Henry Edridge. link Which would have made him a contemporary. There are a lot of similar views. |
