Well I've looked it up online, now, and very impressive it is, too. Very different to the compact generator my late partner used in his children's entertainer days! Oh my

My dad worked with Dave Tedds in Electric Development (Ernie Webb). I grew up with hundreds of stories about Climax. Dad went to Climax after the war and worked at Friars Road. The money was poor so he went AWA at Baginton. When AWA folded he returned to Climax in Development. In those days it was not unusual for Leonard Lee (then owner) to bring his Rolls Royce into the workshop and get Ernie to do simple jobs such as fixing the radio. His driver would wait while the car was fixed and came out with many a tale about LL's moments. I have some old black and white photos of some of the old hands from Sandy Lane and Wid road. Dad passed away in 2004, still miss him.

My father, Fred Cole, worked for Coventry Climax for 25 yrs from 1955 to 1980 when he died. He worked in the Spares Dept in various places, ending up in Mile Lane.

My brother worked for Climax, testing engines, 1946 onwards, sometime I think in the fifties he was sent to an Eastern country testing engines for them.

I remember Ernie. He worked with my very good friend Paul Knight in the Development shop at Widd Road until Paul moved to the Tech Pubs Dept to work with me. Paul and I both moved to Jaguar Radford Tech Pubs in the late eighties. Sorry to hear Ernie has passed.

Sadly the only one I recall is Dot Shufflebotham who worked with my mum in Export Shipping at Mile Lane in the early eighties.
