Hi all Wave I am not well-off with details, but I understand that Geoff Foster, our local radio sports commentator was taken ill at work. Best wishes to you Geoff & I understand that quick thinking action by staff may have saved a far worse situation.

According to last night's phone-in programme, Geoff had a series of TIAs, (mini-strokes) but is now recovering.

Can't say I'm a big fan of Cov & Warks local radio station. News and sport is good but I find the female presenters, Trish Adudu, Molly Green, and one called Vic really irritating. Much prefer Radio WM Danny Kelly show in the mornings is always lively and entertaining.

I can only assume that you are not up early enough to listen to Shane O'Connor then? Big grin His show is superb. Always covering the latest issues, brilliant at asking the "right" probing questions to people he interviews - and an all round great presenter. Such a crying shame they got rid of Annie Othen!!

Agreed. Shane O'Connor show's good in the morning. Entertaining and witty. Like it. Switch straight over once it's finished to WM though. Can't comment on Annie Othen as I've never heard of her

Hi all Wave I listen to Shane's breakfast show until I go out in the morning. I have made comments about issues that he has discussed on several threads. I also enjoy Paul Marriott's early show which starts at 6am, usually in bed for that. I sometimes take part in his photo quiz & once sort help on our forum in the past. Have a good day all Wave

Is anyone else upset at the change of format to the early morning show on BBC-CW local radio? Since they booted Shane O'Connor off we've had to put up with the "Trish & Jo" show, and I'm sorry, but this just doesn't cut it. There's rarely any music, no serious interviews (or at least none that I can take seriously) and to hear them constantly talking over each other does my head in! Sorry BBC but I've now stopped listening. Sad Anybody happy with the changes?

+1 Tony. Shane O'Connor was a very good presenter, a great show. Replaced by these two! Trish Adudu has to be the most irritating presenter on radio. Tune in to Birmingham WM 95.6 The Danny Kelly Show.

Trish Adudu was recently crowned "Best Programme Presenter" at the internal BBC Local Radio Awards. Says it all really.

I used occasionally to tune in to Cov and Warwickshire Radio until I heard Annie Othen .... could never stand her when she was on Mercia Sound. I don't know if she is still on and I don't really care. As for Bob Brolly, can't stand him either, although I know he does a lot of good work as I believe his brother is handicapped. My Irish neighbours love him and used to go on what I thought of as the Holiday from Hell, when they booked a whole floor of a hotel somewhere abroad together with Brolly and all his pals! Yuk !! Actually I do enjoy Network Gold on the 94.8 frequency on a Saturday night as, although mostly a Classic FM listener, I enjoy music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s too.
