Deepest sympathy John & family, having lost my youngest daughter two years ago I understand your feelings. I trust time and precious memories will help you deal with such a tragic loss.

Me and Penny would like to thank everyone for their kindness shown, e-mails, e-cards and posts. We have a large hole to fill and no idea how. I did not expect to bring Rob's website to a halt, sorry Rob, I cheated on you a bit when I asked. The only thing I have been doing is reading the posts, I cannot input at the moment because it is not in me, but this forum and the people on it mean something to me. It is the only thing I look at, so please continue so I have something to read, that kills a bit of time for me. Our days are now too long. Thank you and our very best wishes to all. John & Penny.

Just come back to the Forum after a few days away. Nothing I can say will help you, so I will say nothing. But you are in my thoughts, big time.

I would like to say thank you for the kind words of support both on and off the forum. We now have the final autopsy report which reads "Sudden Cardiac Death", we are informed that it was preventable. The initial report stated Matt died in "peak" fitness condition with no signs of "abuse" or "disease". How do you find some thing wrong with you if you are not ill? The sad facts are, this condition is not rare, in America there are between 250,000-320,000 deaths a year from it. Why is there not a screening program for this condition? All you need is a blood test. At the moment I hate the world, not the people, but just the world. If anybody takes heed of this, please, just go and have a simple blood test as it can also be hereditary. There is no need to reply to this post, just arrange a blood test for this condition. Thank you all.

The fact is that none of us know what is going to happen tomorrow, or the next day, to ourselves or to anyone. This thread makes this only too real, for us all to see. I hope that the existence of our forum is in itself a means of comfort to all of our members when needed, whether giving comfort or receiving it.

I would like to say thank you to ALL on here, for your e-mails and thoughts to us. You know who you are. Gangan and TonyS, I have feelings for all, and hold life dear, also I respect Rob and his website very much for putting one of my Matt's wishes on his site. We are trying to fulfil everything he said we should do. To wish you ALL the very best for the future to you and your children and grandchildren. It is only our grandchildren keeping us going, for their future. We hold that most people are good only a few that are bad. Rob's website is the only thing I look at, for honest people that I hold dear, yet, I do not know you. This hurts to write, but really wish you all the best but I cannot reply to the season's greetings for reasons I am sure you will all understand. Last, I would like the moderators to relegate this topic to the very end of the topic list. Love to all.

A word of warning about our stupid Privacy laws. Here follows an actual phone conversation, each line being the question then the answer. Hello, the ........... doctors surgery. I would like to make an urgent appointment please, or bring forward the assessment for diabetes. Certainly, patient's name please. Penelope .............. March the 29th is the first vacant slot. But this is urgent, could you tell me when the diabetic review is please? Sorry, patient confidentiality. Listen, I will tell you all of the patient's history so then, you can just answer yes or no, is that ok? Sorry, patient confidentiality. (So then I go into more detail explaining the circumstances) I see your problem but it is still patient confidentiality, if I get the practice nurse to phone you tomorrow will that help? It is all I can do. It will have to, thank you for your incredible help (fingers down throat) Phone down. Next day. This is ....... how can I help? Penelope ....... Sorry, but I cannot speak to you, patient confidentiality but I can speak to the patient. Please listen to me, do not answer until I get to the end and then give me your reply. (I then explain all symptoms and visits to the doctor over the last four weeks and what is going on now). I see your problem, I will make an appointment for the 9th March. Nothing sooner? Sorry. Ok, it will have to do. End of call. Friday 13th Febuary. Original visit 4 weeks ago, just looked for ear infection because of headaches, dizzyness and nausea, blood test to see if diabetes under control. Take antacid tablets and sickness tablets. Because of stupid privacy laws I was unable to convince anybody for serious help, not until Monday 16th Febuary when I called 999. My Penny, my darling, the love of my life, my friend, my defender of my back, through good times and bad, always together never apart since Penny was 16 and me 18. We lost Abbie our grandaughter, we lost our Matt just over a year ago, we have one son remaining in what is left of our family. What I will do if anything should happen there, I do not know. MY DARLING DIED, 17th FEBUARY 2015 My Penny is now with Matt and Abbie. I cannot wait to join them because the pain just gets worse.
