You beat me to it! Yes, lovely to see us all get a mention in that report - from about a third of the way down. Cheers

What a lovely report and a free bit of advertising for the site, Rob.

Well, if it attracts more members to join of your high calibre, it can only be a good thing! Smile

Well I've had 12,000 impressions on Cooper assets overnight and over 300 people sign up to Cov Dig, which is wonderful. We also have a dozen new volunteers looking at the spreadsheet! Thanks to you all - BBC will surely want an update. In the Times now too and the Daily Mail is publishing too.

Great stuff, Ben (though typically The Times seems to want you to pay to read!)

It's just a re-hash of the BBC piece. However, if you do want to read it, £1 for the first three months, £26pm thereafter - oof.

Lots of family history searchers about right now. Stuff has been slower than usual Lol I confess that I'm part of the problem and got a subscription to the newspaper archives for Christmas. I'm not yet up to the era of Coventry papers.

In reply to post 47, this is the reason for my nom de plume. I sang there as a choirboy from 1957 to 1966. I see there is now an entrance porch and the asbestos roof has been replaced. I believe the original pre-war idea was that a new church would be built in the grounds, then used for allotments, and the building would become the church hall. The west end had a raised stage for performances. At least Google shows it looks well cared for and has not suffered the same fate as the Caludon opposite.

Dear all, we have a new Arthur Cooper gallery It's the same model as before: use this Excel link and see the tab (at the bottom) which shows the new set. Please add captions there! Do also share with anyone interested. Simply find the corresponding title and add the caption. There's plenty from within the Arthur Cooper original set to add details to as well.

Wow, amazed to find photos Cooper_Hollands_0017.tif and Cooper_Hollands_0014.tif. Just an anonymous street to most people, but to me.... the street in which I was brought up for 26 years! Smile

An unfortunate set of events for some drivers, with many phones out of action too, hey!
