I heard that the flats in Ivy Walk were originally built for the construction workers building the estates in Willenhall to live in while working. Is this true? Question |

Hi Ladies,
Ivy Walk is now officially known as Tarquin Close.
I cannot answer your direct question, but Willenhall prior to 1939 was a small farming community village. Coventry, such a centre for mass production engineering was chronically short of labour. The new Ryton armoured vehicle & aircraft engine plant was just getting going prior to hostilities. By 1955, Willenhall had Coventry's largest Scottish community living there. |

Hi puddin68, welcome to the forum
I don't know what others might have but you could try Coventry Digital. But you'd first need to familiarise yourself with the modern look via Google Street view.
Perhaps if you explain why you want the pictures, someone might help?
