Sorry about that MR. I will try to explain. P.O.D. means PRINT-ON-DEMAND so only one book is printed when ordered. The pages are then pressed, about a week, then bound and pressed again. It usually takes between 3-4 weeks. I admit it does help to know this but it is a very small publishing house. The large ones would charge at least (very conservative) £10,000 to put a book into print (which I cannot afford). So patience please, just hope you enjoy it. Thumbs up

Enjoy your cruise, at least anyone else reading this will now know roughly how long to wait and why. I know someone else has ordered 2 copies, the poor bloke doing the printing wont know whats hit him just lately, lol Cheers

Sorry about that MR. I did not know you had ordered through Amazon. Just a warning, Amazon for some reason does that to any order for any P.O.D. book. If you use the link under my post you should still receive a copy for August, cancelling out any middle man. I think the postage is 60p. Hope this helps. Thumbs up Just checked the link and it does work, click on the title and it will take you to the "buy this book" page. A.T.B.

I can definitely confirm that using the link under each of scrutiny's posts works extremely well. The P.O.D. company did have a problem recently with their book binding machine, which is why there was a delay on some orders. However, I had a very pleasant response from them by email explaining about it - and then a followup email to let me know that they were up and running again, so I was impressed with how courteous they were.... and my second copy of the book arrived within two days of that ! Thumbs up As John has explained, all proceeds go to the charity "Friends of St Cross", but more than that..... buy it because it will make you smile..... a lot ! Big grin

Cheers Rob. Because the publisher does not post overseas, I was asked to order two copies for someone who lives in Australia and post them on to them. Ordered on the 7th July, arrived by post 13th July. Now that is fast service. "Your Pod" has really got their act together and if anybody wants a book publishing I recommend them. Thumbs up P.S. Hey Tony, just realised, same date as you.

The suspense is terrible!!! At least four people on here read it. It must be that bad they will not comment on it. LOL, Hope you enjoyed your cruise MR, at least you did not throw yourself overboard, if it arrived in time that is? Wink
