Hi all, Wave Maybe someone can help me here, but do you remember an advert for Heineken, where a tour guide was rushing every one around an art gallery so that they could all have much more time in the Heineken room? I have looked on YouTube but cannot see it. My out & about train-spot days can be very much like that, where I am passing all of the great sights, just to reach a fish & chippy, a marshalling yard or anywhere else just as silly. Wave

Hi all Wave Rambling with my forum friend, today started with me walking to this point where I boarded No 57 into Coventry.

At a loose end last week, we decided to take our dog Harley for a good walk. Digging out my book of Coventry Walks by Brian Keats, we decided on an old favourite of the Berkswell Circular. Having walked this some 5-6 weeks ago, there was quite a bit of action from HS2, trees painted ready for felling, road way being dug etc. But we were still able to complete the full walk. All changed last Thursday, through the churchyard, past the edge of the lake, up past the herons' nesting site and through the small copse, all went well, and then half way up the hedge the path is blocked off and there are 2 security cameras present. No diversion or alternative path to the woods or through the quarries. All thanks to the White Elephant!!!
