I don't go up town much these days - usually just pass through on the way to hospital appointments. The new 'street art' tempted me though so I made an early morning visit and captured a 10 minute snapshot of what it is looking like. Battery on camcorder ran out so didn't make it to Spon Street. Generally I'm impressed with a lot of what has been done over recent years. I hope when the Precinct work is finished they will leave it alone for a while. Anyway, enjoy the video.

Burges and the CET building look much improved. I think Hertford Street needs more than a lick of paint through. They seem to have been doing the Precinct for years! Nice Vid though Joybert.

About as good a video summary for a city as I've ever seen. Fantastic. Being the big kid I am, I could watch and listen to that fountain splut, splut, splut, all day long.

Many thanks for that, BJ! Lots of places I recognised and lots I didn't. Loved the squirrel! It's been six years since I was last in Coventry - I'd love to revisit when the virus permits - and maybe when they've finished the Precinct!

Oh, Brother Joybert, this was wonderful. So many beautiful sights - some I remembered and some completely new. You're going to have to let me know about a few of them.

Great vid BrotherJoybert and thanks for all your hard work and effort, shame I can't say the same about the subject matter.
I don't like it one bit, but then I don't like Hertford Street, full stop!

It's very much a "marmite" piece of art that's for sure! Love it or hate it, no in-between

Again, thanks for the video diary of Coventry's makeover BrotherJoybert. It looks less child's blocks than the plan that Midland Red posted recently but it still doesn't add to the area in my opinion. It may be the difference between film and the real eye but the coloured glass makes the area look dimly lit. The shops themselves destroy any impression of an overarching theme. I don't hate it but I don't think it enhances the area much. Maybe it needs to be seen in sunlight?
