Lord Street FC

Does anyone have any info on Lord Street FC and can anyone shed light on the MDT Cup? My great uncle Alfred Edwards is sitting front row 2nd left and there is a W Edwards on the 3rd row 7th from the left that could be his elder brother Walter. Alfred became a professional footballer and played for the Villa, Stourbridge and Dudley Town. Sadly he fell in The Battle of the Sambre 4th November 1918 a week before Armistice.

SC - I wonder why Lord Street had its own football team; I assume most streets didn't. Was there an organisation in Lord Street that had enough members to form a team? And where did they play?

It was affiliated to Lord Street Sunday School, belushi. Where they played... Hearsall Common at a guess?
