Sadly an incident occurred over the weekend in Achal Close, Foleshill.
I'd never heard of the road so I looked it up on Google Earth and discovered it is located off Elmsdale Avenue.
Does anyone know when this cul de sac was built and what was occupying the site before the current properties were erected? |

I used to live in Sandown Avenue, some of the houses bordered the allotment site. Part of the site was used by Mr Abbs who used to keep pigs, there were also apple trees on the site. Mr Abbs used to live on the corner of the entrance to the site in Elmsdale Avenue. Alan H

I live very close to Achal Close and I am sure that during construction the large bill board at the entrance to the development stated ACHAL [Asian Community Housing And Leisure]. I believe there were numerous complaints that it was solely intended for the Asian community and this wording was removed. |
