From a newspaper article. The Coventry factory was set up in 1972 by Mr Noel Penny after he resigned as MD of Leyland Gas Turbines of Solihull in 1971. When he left he said he wanted to pursue his own ideas on the commercial application of gas turbine engines. He bought the 3.5 acre factory site in 1973. There are several other articles about his projects, Mick, was there anything specific you were looking for?

Hi, and thanks. No, not looking for anything specific, just a general engineering interest in another company that is no longer here.

I don't think he completely severed his links with BL (or whatever they were called at the time). In the 80s we used to service some of his equipment and IIRC, we used to use some of his excess testing capacity.

There is a lot of interesting information out there which I enjoyed reading. The one thing I did find that I liked was a go cart for sale with a Noel Penny Turbine for power. Wow, how fast would that go!
