Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and kind words, Jackie and I had been happily married for 61yrs so it is hard, but luckily 18mths ago we moved to a retirement apartment overlooking Plymouth Sound, just a few feet from the sea, where we made new friends so I have a lot of support around me and many things to occupy my mind. I'm sure there are many others out there who know the feeling of being alone, I can only say life is what you make it. Keep smiling.

Hi, a big big thank you on behalf of Mary and the kids to everyone who attended Doug's funeral what a fantastic turnout. You made Mary and the kids' day a little bit easier by seeing the church that full that half the people had to stand outside. So RIP Doug, you will sadly missed by everyone who knew you.

Hi guys. This brings back memories, only just found this site. I was a Longford rocker in early sixties, I was around at the time when Gig died on the Longford Road and I was friends with Kevin Hall who was riding his cut down motorcycle and sidecar who also died in a motorcycle accident in Avon Street not far from the Island cafe. I can remember Doug Noble, rest in peace Doug, Bullet and Brian Smith, many more but memory fades me at the age of 70,
It was at the Longford rink where I met my wife to be, Janet, she felt sorry for me because I could not skate or stand up for long without falling over. She passed away after 52 years marriage at the age of 70 in January this year.
They were very good and very sad times. |

Hi everyone. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - I heard Steven Fellows passed away a few days ago, don't know exactly what day. He was known to most of us as Fudge, one of the real nice guys of the Longford Rockers. Condolences to his family.
RIP Fudge
