Not being awkward but I cannot see how that first picture could have been taken from Lower Ford St. To me maybe from the back of Godiva St but more likely from the bottom of Grove St somewhere in the pop works (cannot remember if that was Corona or Lants) to get that angle of the building. Smile

Happy for it to be corrected scrutiny. That's just the location comment that came with the photo. I haven't looked at any maps or BFA to get the angle myself.

Just had a quick check. Jane is actually more specific saying it was no.135 Lower Ford Street which does appear to be feasible looking at maps. Dutchman posted this one a while ago in a mention of bridge cottages - they are in the centre here and Anne's view would be looking over them so again looks possible.

No problem scrutiny. I welcome cross analysis as I didn't know any of the 'old' (to me!) views pre-mid 1970's. Thumbs up
