Neil, just a thought, maybe it was for the visit of the Queen on June 30th, 1970 when she officially opened the Walsgrave Hospital as she also did a walkabout / drive round Broadgate.

I have a vague recollection of the flower bed with the coat of arms in 1953 but I would have been in hospital from August until October when the BFA photo was taken. What I do recall is the placard covering the West window of Holy Trinity that is present in the 1950 photo but not the 1953 one. The window was not replaced until 1955.
