I believe it's long gone. I seem to remember lots of reports of it being vandalised.

Neil, just a thought, maybe it was for the visit of the Queen on June 30th, 1970 when she officially opened the Walsgrave Hospital as she also did a walkabout / drive round Broadgate.

To my mind, the clothes people are wearing fit in more 1950's style than 1970.

You can see it in the October 1953 aerial photo here but isn't there in the July 1950 pictures here.

I have a vague recollection of the flower bed with the coat of arms in 1953 but I would have been in hospital from August until October when the BFA photo was taken. What I do recall is the placard covering the West window of Holy Trinity that is present in the 1950 photo but not the 1953 one. The window was not replaced until 1955.
