10. I worked for the City Engineers, Land Survey section for a couple years, after leaving my job as a maintenance plumber at Hawker Siddeley, Bitteswell. Our first office was in the old gas showrooms building in Corporation Street, but then we moved to Broadgate House. I took this picture from the office window. It shows the old and new cathedrals, Holy Trinity church and other buildings, including the library on the left hand side. The temporary shops on the opposite side of Broadgate are also just visible. Date 1972-73.
