I was recently watching a program on TV, in which the Earl of Coventry was mentioned several times. I had never heard of an Earl of Coventry, but then I got to think about Earl Street and places like Earlsdon. I wonder if anybody might be able to throw any light my way.

I know Wikipedia is not always the most reliable source of information but this gives you some detail. The info about Croome Park is correct.
