LesMac. No, if you're talking about the Hacketts of Longford Bridge at the side of the canal (undertakers) Jack Hackett came from Lentons Lane.

Kaga.. Hackett are still in Bedworth on Leicester Road just up from Marston lane.

They haven't moved Kaga, they are at Longford as well.

Hi all My friend & I enjoyed a lite-bite in Nuneaton today. The Tea & Chat cafe. It was very nice. Matching crockery gave it a Miss Marple feel (no table cloths) about it as I tucked into a mushroom & tomato omelette.

Hi all A bit of license regards location, Atherstone just a bit further up from Nuneaton, the Larder cafe which I have mentioned before, has come up trumps again. "Having often enjoyed breakfasts at the Larder, it was time for a late lunch today. Steak & ale pie, (a cross between a pie & pudding), served with peas & fluffy mash, it was scrummy. Camp coffee made with all milk was a delight although I am accustomed to that treat at the Larder. This was a dinner prepared by folk who aim to please & who delight in what they do. It didn't break the bank either for four of us.

Hi all GETTING TO ATHERSTONE ********************************** The No 48 is a split route service. From Coventry Trinity St, bus No 48 takes just over an hour to travel to Atherstone. The first after ten is 10.17am. Important to note is that every other No 48 goes to Leicester, via Hinckley. Please read the destination blind. The routes are identical as far as Nuneaton, so if an hour travelling is too long, you can break your journey at Bedworth or Nuneaton. Atherstone is quite different from any other small town, with its own array of independent shops & traders. The No48 to Atherstone also stops at Dobbies Garden Centre between Nuneaton & Atherstone. It's bit out in the sticks so keep that for a dry day.

Those raving idiots are everywhere in the world. I hope he gets what he deserves for his fun and games. Not knowing the true story, at a guess he will get a slap on the wrist. Who knows as yet, it may have been stolen.

No idea if this has been posted before, sorry if it has, or whether anyone's interested, but when the trams used to run to Bedworth they stopped at the Coventry boundary, driver then walked to other end of tram, and returned, but when the buses took over they had to turn round. This not possible, they went into the shopping centre to turn round. I believe this created a clash of councils, heated bickering. Anyone know about this?

There's a fitness club in Bedworth called Alex Wilson Social Club - anyone know where the name comes from?
