I don't know if this still exists in any form or not, but whilst sorting papers relating to another motor club, I have come across a file of correspondence relating to the above. Rather than just disposing of the folder I have retained it. Should anyone connected to the club wish to collect it, they are most welcome. Most of the correspondence just relates to club events but it does contain some details of members past from the early 1960s. |

It's lovely that these little archives of times past keep appearing, the heritage of motor vehicles being built in Coventry is a glorious one, but sadly very little material seems to have survived from earlier times.
I have mentioned in the past on this forum that I am desperate to find material regarding my father Glyn Prewett who was an apprentice at Daimler in the early 1930's but nobody can help, when I saw the subject bar tonight my hopes were raised, then I noted the material dated from the early 1960's.
Who knows maybe somebody has information stuck on a bookshelf gathering dust that will one day shed light on him! |
