Hi Dreamtime Straying off subject! You! I bet that not a day passes where you do not mention Coventry to your family & friends or even your membership of our/your site here. Your pride oozes. Please do enjoy your Australia day & the fireworks. It is our delight that you share with us. No rubbing in your temperatures & summer weather mind. Best wishes Wave Happy

Yes, I admit, they, the family, do usually get a daily bulletin, although my daughter does drop in occasionally to have a read. Thank you for your kind words Philip. I will now proceed to feed them all. Bye. Wave

Hi all Wave This caught my eye in the news this morning, "probably why it's watering" (joke). The most burgled places in Britain Wave Another good reason, we are not included in this list. Wave

Last weekend I felt very proud to be a Coventrian. Firstly there was the brilliant turnout for the Armed Forces Parade on Saturday. This was followed by the Olympic Torch Relay on Sunday evening and Monday morning. It was lovely to see the pure enjoyment of the children who lined the route. I listened to Dave Moorcroft who was paramount in organising the Coventry part of the relay, talking about it on the radio. He was so enthusiastic about it and couldn't contain his excitement. This was early Monday morning before the torch relay started. He was amazed how many people had turned up so early in the day. I know we all have frequently criticised the Council for the way they 'run' the city but this time they definitely got it right. It's a pity that torrential rain forced the cancellation of the Godiva Festival because that would have been 'the icing on the cake'.

Let's resurrect this old post and find out what has made us Coventrians proud over the last 10 years.
