Hi & thank you Ron, Wave If my brain had been in gear, I should have realised that the arm levels were as much a part of correct sighting for the approaching crew as much as the junction status itself. The left arm is for the voiding line, whilst the right is for Foleshill & Coventry. Wave Thumbs up

Hi all Wave Hall Brooks is a slow railway for any spectator. Most folk at model railway exhibitions enjoy "rabbit warren" continuous running model railways. Hall Brooks is a reflection of my memory of our local railway activity, where nothing was ever rushed. The picture below brings this to reality, where class 25, has already delivered the front portion of its goods train to Longford Park reception siding. It is now waiting for the righto-way to reverse a tar tank & break van into Priorsfield Siding. It all sounds good, hey! Any of you that enjoy an all-action railway, & few come any better than these, my You-Tube friend Dave & his friends regularly posts you-tube recordings of their railways, along with hints, tips & suggestions. Dave's Railway Dave is not on his own, with several fabulous modellers building their works of art. More Railways For anyone who enjoys a touch of the West Country, you might enjoy Penwithers. Penwithers Whilst these example are not Coventry model railways, they have so inspired me, each constructor bringing their skills to produce works of art. Hope you enjoy. Once into this section of You-tube, you will find loads more. I tell you what is so nice, these model builders will stop at nothing to help anyone out with any kind of model railway query. They are dedicated.

Hi all Wave A state of depression has descended at Hall Brooks, as room maintenance takes over. Hopefully normal service by the weekend.

That's good Philip. I am building a new home so the fun has just started, or has it. ? Hope our village is in tact and the Station services has not been disrupted in any way. I am sure the Stationmaster has everything under control. Thumbs up

Hi all, Wave With the room refit now complete, our HallBrooks railway is back to full steam ahead, or Diesel as the case is here. Both of our Baby Deltics are proving much better than they did in their real life chequered careers, having now entered into full service. In weathered condition, this one is resting between duties.

Hi all Wave Coventry was such a backwater in the UKs rail-network that records show that only two steam locos were ever supplied new, to its shed allocation. No's 46445 & 46446 were supplied new in the mid fifties. I saw both of these small mixed traffic locos on several occasions, often on the Coventry to Nuneaton line or (the Foleshill line) as I have always call it. ../main/forum-posts.php?s=60&id=1370&q=&member=&cat_id=6&show_cats=all&var1= No 46446 is seen here in the main siding at Hall Brooks. In total contrast, an eastern region large tank loco, a class that I never saw in Coventry is seen here in Bramble Grove shed. These tank locos were almost a tank version of the V2 tender locos, which I did see in Coventry. At one time, Coventry had a couple of daily through services to the Eastern region, Skegness being one of them. Even when the direct line via Rugby was cut, the service worked via B'ham New St.

Hi Philip, I wonder if I travelled on that one to Skeggy. ? It's still the only way to travel don't you think. ? I always think of the old movie - Brief Encounter - when I see the steamers. Just me having one of my senior moments. Wave

Hi Dreamtime Wave The real 46446 loco at Foleshill, shunting the Courtaulds loop siding, with oil tanks in tow. Sadly, not a passenger train to Skeggy, Pic from Coventry & Warwick's collection. Thumbs up
