My wife asked me to find out what happened to Walker's Studios?

Hi Keith Do you mean my namesake's photography business? Last time I saw it, they were in the Morris Ave / Longfellow Rd shops (below): I think they were in what is now the "Foot Clinic", but that would be twenty years ago. I believe the business was started by John Walker, the father. I was at Ravensdale Primary with John Walker, the son, who had taken over the business by the 1980s. He would be in his mid-60s now, so probably retired and sold up.

Yes, Johnnie. It's a small world; my wife went to Ravensdale too with his daughter, and she was at the art College with John Walker junior on a photography course in the early 60s. She had forgotten the shops at the bottom of Morris Avenue; her parents lived in Morris Avenue, and the Painted Lady was her father's local. (I didn't really know, because I'd always lived the other side of the city) Many thanks for that!! Cheers Thumbs up Thumbs up
