I had a distant relative named JACKIE QUINN, who in the 1930s roller skated from Coventry to London for charity. He lived in Matlock Road, Foleshill. Does anyone have any record of this. I did see a mention of this in the Telegraph many years ago.

Colcov here is a cutting from the british newspaper archive website. I think it is acceptable to post as long as I mention the site www.britishnewspaper archive.co.uk. Mods, if this is a problem I will remove but I have tried to send it direct to Colin and it keeps getting rejected by the mail.

Thank you Anne for your trouble in getting the answer to my question, sorry you had problems. I've wondered for years what relation Jackie was to me. It appears he was my mother's cousin. I was five years old at the time and can vagely remember my grandparents talking about it. I can now show my grandchildren this story. Once again, thank you.
