No idea what the codes are Oh my But I was well out with my guess It's not a thoroughfare I've ever seen before - now I know where it is I must investigate further Thumbs up

I wonder if the little girl on the right has just come from Victor's cafe in Whitefriars Street as it was the only place in that area that I know of which sold ice cream cones?

Further to previous posts, I seem to remember that probably behind the little girl was the site of a static water tank. This was on the corner of Much Park St. There is a pub on the site now

Can anyone say if this is the static tank?

Yes, that's the one. It was the basement for shops on that corner. Does anyone remember if the basement was 'new' or had it reused a medieval one? I believe that the shops were replaced in 1860ish. From what I can tell by the pictures it was new but several buildings in the area had original cellars.

Thank you for that, it would have been a short distance behind the ice cream girl then.

The lamp post you can see behind one of the women was opposite Much Park Street. There was a series of temporary shops there. Try this image from Britain From Above.

It looked new to me, more like a swimming pool than a basement.
