Hello, I am trying to research into an oil painting that has a label attached from Ralph Smyth & Co. From details already gained, it would appear that they were based from 1850 to approx 1913 at 32 High Street (they also had a tailors at 31 High Street. In 1919 the name changes to W.C Smyth (printsellers). The records from 1913 to 1919 are missing?
All information would be appreciated.
Thanking you all in advance.

Not sure if you're after the painter or the date, this is a link of their shop on the right, from Historic Coventry |

Slightly wider version of Rob's picture showing a bit more of Smyth & Co tailors. Note the telephone number "39"
The problem with the High Street is it was so narrow that pictures had to be taken along it rather than across it.

I like the sign on the shoe warehouse - "Single Pairs Supplied"!!! Now would that mean two left feet? |
