Hello Everyone First of all may I say a big thank you to Annewiggy for your brilliant deduction, you were spot on that Sarah Mitchell Sephton married Finlay James Mcdonald. As I said I sent for this marriage certificate and it arrived today and it confirms that it is indeed Sarah Mitchell Sephton ms Linn, one or two mistakes on the certificate though, it states the she was a spinster, and that her father John Linn was deceased, John never died till 1954. In fact her marriage to W H Sephton also stated that her father was deceased, maybe they had a fallen out and disowned each other I don't know. Also thanks to Philex31 for your follow up about Finlay McDonald and your amazing speculation, I will follow all this up in the coming weeks, I cant thank you enough. Hello Everyone Further to my topic on "Sephtons" recently, I have obtained a death certificate (1966) for a Sarah McDonald hoping it may say (formerly Sephton) ms Linn. Unfortunately this Death Certificate tells me little if it is the correct lady I'm looking for, it just gives her name as Sarah McDonald wife of .......... McDonald occupation unknown, and the address of 10 Upper Ride Coventry. Can anyone look up this address for my starting at 1966 and going backwards a few years? I also purchased a Death certificate also for a Finlay James McDonald in 1973 Bournemouth, hoping this was Sarah's husband but again it gives no clues if this is correct, no name is entered in for a spouse or who his parents were. All I can find on Ancestry is that the Sarah Mcdonald that lived at 10 Upper Ride left probate to a Vera May Warwick, spinster £494.

I don't know if this helps but William Sephton (birth year 1881) was the only occupant of 741 Stoney Stanton Rd in September 1939 (search.findmypast.co.uk), and the 48 Eden St address was the home of Walter Simcox (Stanton) born 1915, and Clare Stanton born 1912 (search.findmypast.co.uk).
