I hope you and your wife enjoyed it Philip, it's certainly worth a visit and then it get you hungry for the history of the place, I also see you went over the weir for the views across the Avon, it's very spooky at night and the chapel bell tolls to add to the atmosphere. The first time I visited I got into a lengthy chat with one of the Masons and he was telling me there was a lot of Coventry engineers in the lodge and they had restored the clock. There is some old images that are fascinating viewing as when you walk around the ruins now it's hard to imagine people living there. Photo Gallery Archive

Hi Catshed Wave It was so enjoyable. We had worked out exactly where it was located from our bus trip on Wednesday, but decided to venture out in our mo' today. All of the tunnels, the rooms off rooms & so on, we could have a Rupert adventure. Entering one of the rooms only to find that we had entered a different country, it had that air of mystery about it. No laughing please but I bet my print mileage on here is greater than my motor mileage, which after two years is just coming up to 2k. What a flippin' pip! Big grin Oh my Thumbs up

Hi everyone! Stumbled upon this forum thread whilst sorting out some Guys Cliffe House stuff on the net. I work as a volunteer at Guys Cliffe House, with the working party 'Friends of Guy's Cliffe', who work to maintain & preserve the old place, which is used for both masonic & non-masonic purposes nowadays. I also run the websites for the property, the events site and the online historical image archive. Really pleased to read how much Guy's Cliffe is admired by so many people. Unfortunately we've been unable to host a garden party during the summer for the past couple of years but we have now started running limited guided tours, so that at least it now provides a way for people to come & visit the property. We've been all to aware of how people would like to visit so we're pleased to have now got these visiting opportunities in place. I hope I don't get told off for plugging or advertising! But details are now on our websites for this... Any queries please fire them over, plus you also can find us on Twitter @GuysCliffeHouse and Facebook facebook.com/GuysCliffeHouse Thanks again guys, pleased to see such a level of interest,
