There was a St Michael's School on Frankpledge Rd. I went to it and it was a very good school.

I seem to remember the one in Cheylesmore closed down in the mid 1980s due to dwindling numbers. The pupils then mainly moved to Manor Park School.

I was caretaker at the school until it closed in July 1986. A few names of members of staff were Reg Rode, Alan Perks, Carol Smith, Mary Barber, June Bradbury, Bron Mottershead, Julie Ryan, Derek Daniels, Enid Southan, Julia Eccleston, Dot Skelley, Betty Hewins and Beryl Thomas.

Someone in my office used to go to this school when he was a kid. I'll show him this tomorrow! He tried to explain where it was, but as he doesn't know Coventry anymore (he moved away, and says it's not the same city he grew up in as it's all gone). He struggles to explain where it was.

I attended St Michael's CofE Primary School on the Frankpledge Road in around 1976-1980. Sadly it is now a housing estate, does anyone have a photo of the school or attended the school. The teachers I remember are Mr Page, Ms Whiskar (Deputy Head), Ms Spring, Mrs Eccelstone, Mr Roades (Headmaster), Mr Daniels and Mrs Bradbury. We used to have services in the Church opposite and I was in the Juno's (a bit like the scouts) that met at the Church. We had a lovely big field to play in, it was such a nice school. It would be lovely to hear from anyone as I can't seem to find much about the school on-line.

Hi. I was at this school as well with my sister Teresa Cox. Some of the people in my class were Johnathan Gould, Simon Glanvile, Patrick Garton, Amatan Shamaglingum, Lynn Paxton, Mark Cackling, Johnathan Pearce, Ian Peake, I think Helen Bryant, Ms Whiskar got married and changed her name can't remember to what. There were two sides to the school class 6 to 4 one side of a courtyard garden and main hall 1 to 3 the other. There was a dining room and kitchen which faced the road, being the bell monitor for the week was the highlight of my time there, also the bus to Coventry baths for swimming lessons. We did a topic on Sikh temple in Foleshill Road and the Cathedral and blitz which involved catching a bus from the London Road into the city centre. There was a playground facing the London Road incinerator and remember them putting up a new taller chimney to replace the concrete one. I also remember Coventry Zoo with its tall Zulu warrior statue.
