Apologies if this has been raised also, Does anyone remember the very tall slim man who had a hunchback and stood under the score board on the Kop end at Highfield Road? I recall seeing him marching with The Salvation Army on occasions.

I do recall such a chap, although I was always at the opposite end at Highfield Road. I remember a very tall man with the hunchback walking around the city centre quite frequently, you could hardly miss him as he was probably about 6'10" even bent over. He had gold-rimmed glasses and wore a long mac, as I recall. He had a strange gait that would have been reminiscent of John Cleese in Python.

I went to the same school as Jeff (Spon Gate infants), lost touch when we went to different schools at age 11.

I remember Jeff, can't remember his surname, I believe he lived in Willenhall, he was in The Salvation Army for many years. Unfortunately I think he died not long ago.

His last name was Jarret as I recall, happy school days memories!

He was a very pleasant person as I recall. He very often popped into my mum's shop in Raglan St for a chat, my mum always had time for him. It always amazed me to see how low he had to bend to come through the doorway.
