TV had been closed down for the war years when I was born but there was a demonstration of welding on the radio Big grin

I don't know about the TV but on bad days my mind has the trade test transmission running and I'm losing the game of chess with the puppet. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hey, the first tv sold in Coventry was about 1950, the bulk not until 1952, just black and white and only two channels. The first ever tv UK was 1926 but not to the public.

Everyone was glued to Apollo 11 when I was due apparently. I was supposed to have appeared on July 20th '69 - the day they landed - hence why everyone thought I was named after Mr Armstrong but my mum insists not and she had the name in mind for some time. Only made it on the 30th - always late! Wave
