Rambling, Coundon Wedge Area

My dad, Bill Stote, is at the back, second from the right, on the photo of Allesley bellringers. Several others in the picture are familiar faces from my childhood.

I live just behind the Brooklands now, so The Wedge is a regular spot for us and the dogs. I've also seen the kingfisher by the pools Phillip, and so the family must have settled in the area.

Paybody hospital cottage, Allesley Village Hello my name is Jim Cross, unfortunately I cannot remember the friend who lived in that Paybody cottage but if he is still around he may remember me, I spent many happy hours playing in the house and in the fields surrounding the hospital, I lived in Allesley village (65 Barnfield ave) for most of my life moving away to Fillongley many years ago, I now live in Cyprus and have done for the last 14 years or so, sad to see the cottage has gone and for the life of me I wish I could remember the sons name of the cottage Paybody caretakers who are mentioned above, it used to be an eye hospital before the hotel came along, both his son and I went to Barkers Butts School also now demolished, finally I worked for Massey Ferguson (heat treatment) for 34 years before leaving early to come to Cyprus at 54 years of age, I really miss Allesley village and the Rainbow, happy times for me and my family.....
