I have to confess that folk is one genre I'm not keen on, but . . .
I went to school with Ted Crum! |

Rod Felton regularly appeared at the monthly folk night held under the altar in the cathedral (International Centre). The night was a regular feature of The United Nations Youth Branch of which I was chairman. This was in the mid 60's and I recall The Grunt band also appeared. Rod played for fun and a few bob as the hat was passed around |

Does anyone remember a folk club in the mid 60's called the 'Rocky Road'? My mates and I were well into the folk scene but I can't for the life of me remember were it was. I remember seeing a fabulous duo called Cosmotheka. Two brothers Dave and Alan Sealey who sang very funny musical hall songs Question |

Another great venue was the White Lion Folk Club at the Leofric. Everybody was jammed in and sitting on the floor. Saw some great acts there from all over the UK and the USA. Jasper Carrott was there regularly before becoming famous. Another great singer was Sean Cannon who was with the Gaels before joining the Dubliners. |
