Thanks for that Tee Pee, interesting to know. It was not my dad but my step grandad Eric Wilson who went to buy them. He worked at Coventry and I know he was there during the war because of the picture I have posted of the special constables. Sadly he died from a heart attack in 1974. He must have moved to Poole in the early 1960's probably when it was first opened and he and my grandmother went to live in Highcliffe. My Dad also worked for the Gauge but during the war he was working from Browns Lane. He also met my mum there who was a progress chaser.
