Coventry photographers

Can anyone help me with some information re old photographers in Coventry? I've recently found several unlabelled photographs that were from my grandparents early days. Some were taken by a Charles Winterbourne of Swanswell Terrace and others by Taylors in Primrose Hill Coventry. Can anyone tell me anything about these photographers such as when they were in business? I've also got some of soldiers in uniform. Is there anything I can do to try and identify them?

Hi Charles Winterbourne was born in Lewes, East Sussex in 1873. In 1901 he is living in Aston Manor in Birmingham. He is on the 1911 census in Coventry as a photographer. I have found him in directories on Ancestry from 1916 to at least 1940 at 44 Swanswell Terrace so this should give you some idea of when he was in business.

Winterbourne took the photograph of the Godiva Harriers group with Bettmann in the 'Mystery Photographs' section of this site.

Winterbourne was also a member of Coventry Godiva Harriers - I have his first membership form buried somewhere in my files.

I am trying to find out when the following photographers were in operation as I have some photos but no names on other than the studios they were taken at. W.G. Gough, The Burges, Coventry. Charles Winterbourne, 44 Swanswell Terrace. One I cannot make out name but it was at Earl Street Thank you very much.
