It does look that way on Google Earth, Dream, but don't worry - the pub has been taken over again (a mate's brother and his partner now have it) and the Coventry and District Archaeological Society (CADAS) are digging out behind to try to unearth any 'treasures' from the foundations of an old row. There's some more info in a thread about it I'll try to link in here when I find it. |

Hi Ruth
You can get recent photos of Coventry pubs via the Street View option in Google Earth - for example, the Biggin Hall Hotel on the Binley Road - one of my old haunts:
I spent my boyhood from the age of nine until my twenties living opposite in Momus Boulevard. |

May be useful for the pubs thread as I know its been mentioned on there but not seen this one before recently shared on one of the Coventry Facebook pages - The Bear just before demolition in 1980ish. Today the lot where it was located is Barclays Bank.

Same old story by the sounds of it flap (from realalerambles) In 1977 Mitchells and Butler applied for planning permission to demolish the pub and erect offices suitable for building society, banking or insurance company purposes. i.e £££ |
