We have seen this image of the old Market Clock tower before - one of very few taken inside looking west -
..................however thanks to the excellent Coventry Smorgasbord FB page - we now have another view but looking out from the tower southwards. I did used to wonder looking at that first image if there were any more! Just need one of the tower interior now............
A photograph taken from the damaged clock face in the Market Hall tower - looking out on Vicar Lane with Christ Church spire in the background. It was published on 8 April 1941. The church was destroyed two days later (on 10 April) in the second air raid of the Easter Blitz on Coventry.
