I was in class 4a when I left Broadway in 1957 and our class was featured in The Coventry Evening Telegraph on March 2009. Our teacher was Royston Blethyn, the best rugby football teacher in school, with Alec Clements, headmaster, a very big supporter of amateur boxing. I am now retired having spent the last 12 years of my life working in China.
I was at Broadway for just two years from 56 before going up to Woodlands on the first 13+ form. I too remember Royston Blethyn who I think was once a Welsh rugby international. Also recall one blind teacher, and one Irish former priest, an English teacher neither of whose names I remember? A good school and Coventry a great place to grow up in post war.
