Quick snap of this last night as I walked home from meeting Ben and Steve. Thanks to the Warwickshire Railways site for the old pic - it's the one intact remaining building from the old Yard that's still present (and in use!). I think its power-related (CliffB reckons they were often left as too expensive to remove) though on the old plans it was labelled as a 'Mess' office -
Hi Neil. Is that the same building that is in the picture on your post # 83?

Another beauty from David's collection and now available for all on CD - Zoom in to see the footbridge ramp Anyone know when the row on the left went?

I also hadn't realised what would've been part of the Stabling for yard etc was there until so much later -

Currently on Ebay I don't think I've seen a picture before of this section of the old Railway Workers Cottages on Warwick Road. It's numbers 1-6 which was the bit opposite the junction with Michaelmas Road.

Terrific capture of Warwick Road including the Station Master's House and you can even see the top of the incline machine behind with its columned exit - Thanks to Dunk Gibbo on FB -

I have to confess, I'm struggling to orientate myself on this one, Neil. Whereabouts would The Rocket (or Railway Refreshment Rooms, as it would've been known then) have stood in relation to this photo?

Oh, that's just fantastic, Neil - I've never noticed that Station Master building in any photo before! I now need to update the pub site to reflect that the pub was at one time called the Railway Inn, not just Hotel.

Hello,
I walked passed that over 1,800 times as a school child, yet never realising what's now not there anymore.
Well that's another detention, Sir!

You can clearly see the building features of the Rocket Pub, as it was in the days of The Railway Inn.
