1958. By 1960 there was a huge roundabout in the middle, the bus shelters on the left had gone and Ringway St John had been completed.

Short Street in 1948. The cyclists are presumably leaving the Armstrong Siddeley factory in Parkside headed for Much Park Street. The east side of Short Street was cleared very early in the century so is not the result of German bombing.

I like the motor cycle and sidecar with a set of ladders. I doiubt that'd be allowed today.

Yes it's interesting as even today the curve of that road is still the same around to the Admiral Lord Rodney, or whatever it's called nowadays Sad
