Hi all Wave Monday 11 December Travel Update Following the snowfall on Sunday, freezing temperatures overnight and into Monday morning will result in many roads being impassible for cars and buses on Monday 11 December. Local authorities and Highways England are gritting main roads all the time and moving snow where possible. We are urging all commuters to think about their travel plans on Monday 11 December. A limited bus service using only main roads is likely across the region. If you are considering driving as an alternative please be aware that roads may be busier than normal and you are likely to have a disrupted journey. Please don't put yourself or others at risk by driving in poor conditions if you don't need to. Make sure you follow advice if driving in snowy and icy weather and overall keep safe. Train and tram services are expected to be operating normally though some delays may be experienced so please allow extra time. We are gritting Park and Ride sites and Bus Stations to maintain their services. Please take extra care at these locations. It's expected many schools will be closed across the area. Your school website or local authority will provide updates.

Afternoon all Wave I bet that Lydia is cold, with hardly any clothes on. Her little sister isn't wearing any more either, Maria is just visible to the right of the rotary pole.

Beautiful clear blue sky here, just sat (1pm) and had fish and chips on a bench on the cliff top, cold but enjoyable.

Ditto for Devon! Walked along Seaton seafront enjoying the sunshine, it's hard to believe the pictures we're seeing of most of the country.

I spent most of last Sunday afternoon with lots of other people around Quinton Pool having snowball fights, building snowmen and pulling sledges. The age range was from babies all the way up to me and the atmosphere was great, everyone was friendly and having fun. It was the first time for a long time we've had fresh snow on a Sunday so all the kids could play in it. It's all gone now of course, because of the rain, but I've made some new friends. There were also lots of "odds versus evens" snowball fights in the streets. Great fun!!! Big grin
