Coventry Winter Wonderland!

Hi all, Please say "Aah", My neighbours snowman is very sad now, as it has started to rain & his little heart will soon be no more. I wanted him to come alive, like the snowman in the Rupert stories. He has stood there since Sunday afternoon. Sorry, but there is not much hope for me either, hey! ps. This neighbour knocked on our door last Friday, during the snow storm, to see if we were ok, & did we want anything from the shops as they were going for fish & chips for their supper. This is a full time working family that I am telling you about. It's good here in Coventry with gems like them.

Indeed it is Philip. When you have lovely neighbours it's a good life. Tell them the snowman is great no matter how sad he looks he knows he can't stay for ever and maybe he will be back next year with or without the carrot!

Hi all I love that picture. Our garden is long & wraps around our house but we do not have a big open space like that. Lovely.

Thank you everyone for all the beautiful 'Winter Wonderland' photos. Just so beautiful. Here in Melbourne we have had the hottest summer on record. We have also set a new record with over 20 days straight with temperatures over 30. Another 37degs today and tomorrow. Very little bottled water, icypoles and soft drinks left on the supermarket shelves. Our grass is so brown and dry that it crunches when you walk on it. All our wild birds sit in the bird baths for most of the day and I have to keep my fish ponds cool or we'll be having poached fish for tea. We are in our Autumn now so I guess the hot weather will soon come to an end and it will be off with the aircon and on with the central heating. Gilly
