Morning Mr. Blue Sky,
That's wonderful, glad to get your response. Yes there were a lot of old timers. My dad, Bill, with the glasses, is standing against the window at the back. It's nice to know they could enjoy themselves in their later years.
Cheers Mr. Blue Sky. |

Bill & May.
Not the Navi this time but at the Broomfield Tavern in 60/61
Used to get a good crowd in there despite it being a small bar.
More wonderful memories.

Hello Foxcote,
Yes, always happy in my eyes. The doorway behind them led upstairs, very narrow staircase. I had to come down that in a wedding dress in 1961.
Mum had a picture of Annie in the snug, but goodness knows where it is now. Lost in moving I guess. How I regret not taking photos at the time.
I will have to sift amongst the family mug shots which my daughter has claimed and see what I can come up with. I was so happy Mr. Blue Sky was able to oblige.

Thank you very much for the great photos of the harvest festival! You are quite right, my grandparents are on both of the group photos. My granddad is standing next to the reverend and my grandmother is standing next to my granddad. On the second photo, they are on opposite sides of the food table. Once again, many thanks for the photos. |

You are most welcome Mr Blue Sky, I was hoping there would be a few more mums and maybe dads recognised too. Perhaps in time they will be. Obviously most of them would have lived in or around that area. |
