Don't think so, Philip, we have used both Broad Lane and Balsall Common for all of our pets (dogs and rabbits) for at least the last 20 years or so. I remember from years ago, that the BL surgery was called "Pittaway". His daughter is in charge now.

I remember the 'Pittaway' family vets back in the 1960's.

So do I - they were Knight & Pittaway, as I recall, in Queens Road.

It's Mr. Hands & Mr. Stewart that I remember. Quote, "Since being established by Roy Hands back in 1969, Broad Lane Vets has been trusted by generations of Coventry pet owners. With Elly Pittaway, Aidin Walls and Alison White now at the helm, the practice may have grown significantly over the years, but we are proud to remain independent with traditional values, and be very much a part of the local community. Our team of caring, experienced veterinary professionals make full use of the latest advances in veterinary medicine to look after your pet's health. And we are still passionate about treating your pet the way they should be - as one of the family". Thank you all for your info on this.

Hi everyone - I know this is supposed to be Coventry related however as talking helps we're devastated to report we lost our beautiful boy Parsley - as seen on post#60 on Monday night Sad Sad Sad We'd noticed he was getting more lethargic and poor on his back legs but worryingly observed a swollen belly. The vet confirmed this was a large tumour growing rapidly and despite him not showing any signs of pain was only going to get worse. He was 23 and was originally a stray found when they cleared the scrapyards to build the CBS Arena (see there is a Coventry connection!) All you pet owners/lovers out there will get this but we are so heartbroken - as I work from home he was with me all of the time and was always on my lap etc. He literally followed me about and was usually on me whenever I was working here on the forum! I've had Cats all of my life but I've never known a Cat with such a big loving heart and its massively knocked me for six which I don't mind admitting with many a tear shed. We brought him home and buried him in our garden - Sleep well our lovely Lion Sad
