St George's Day

Because of the link with Coventry (Caludon Castle) I feel that I can wish all forumites a Happy St George's Day. I wonder if I am the only person wearing a Red Rose?

St. George's Day is the traditional day for picking Dandelions, if they are gathered on St. George's Day, the wine should be ready for Christmas!

Hi gangan, I can reliably inform you that I too am sporting a red rose in honour of St George's Day. However, here in deepest Cornwall it is somewhat akin to a red rag to a bull, given that the Cornish maintain that they are a country apart. Funny that........ they all shout for England at Football and Rugby! I wear my rose with pride and will for ever be a proud Englishman

Hi Beesman Thank you for your post. I was wearing my red rose bowtie today. I was once told that the basic St. Georges uniform for gents is basically the classic three piece suit which I wore as did my male colleagues in my office days. Can someone add to this? ps.
