Manor House, You seem to have everything well in hand and sorted. Do you have any epic journeys planned for the summer months ? Perhaps you may be writing all about your experiences one day. That would be interesting. Good Luck on your way. Wave

Dreamtime. I haven't planned anything, I just work on what I will be doing every two weeks at the moment. As for the snow. Well I woke up at half past two this morning to visit...erm...'the small room'. Looking out, it had snowed, so I thought of all those photographs I would take in the morning. I went back to bed. Waking up later, the snow had nearly all gone!!! But I did take this one, at 2:30am of the first snow on my boat:

That's not enough for snowballs yet Manor House. I have not stepped out onto snow for 47 years. As picturesque as it looks I hope it's doesn't get too severe for you all over there. Will it be Christmas on your boat or with your family. ? Thumbs up

What do you do for heating, do you have a woodburner ? On the odd occasion when I had slept aboard and I needed the small room in the night it always seemed so cold, but once the woodburner was fired up in the morning it got very hot and quick too. Thumbs up

Dreamtime. I hope to be back on the Coventry Canal this week so I'll be near my sons & grandsons. It is unlikely they will visit the boat so I will go to them. Christmas day I will spend with my brother in Bedworth. matchie55. I have a multifuel/woodburner stove. Everything gets thrown on the fire to burn, exp' cans & glass, there are no bags of rubbish on my boat. I also have a diesel fuelled heating system, but, I haven't used that yet. It can get very hot in such a short time inside the boat.

I was going to move this morning, but there is ice again on the canal. It is only thin, but still, I will stay here a bit longer. I'm not here alone, I do have neighbours:

I was going to Atherstone, but have had to turn around and head back towards Coventry. I've got a few things comng up in the City Centre, during the next couple of weeks so need to be near a bus service.

What a lovely morning it was to wake up to on the Coventry Canal: With it being 9 or 10 weeks since that side of the boat has been alongside the towpath, I gave it a wash & clean:

You are a good boy then Manor House, I didn't realise you have housework to do, inside as well as out. Hope you don't suffer the same fate as me then. As soon as I clean my windows it rains. However, you are welcome to our weather at the moment - 42c tomorrow. I think I will escape down into my burrow. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Big grin
