I know it was mentioned some years ago, but anyone remember Brooklands Annexe? I attended on Friday nights for the first year of my apprenticeship in 1966.

I attended a six month full time course there in the first year of my apprenticeship which would be in 1957. I think it was the first year it opened as a college but I may be wrong.

It was certainly still going in the early 70s. IIRC, the Butts building was out of action for refurbishment.

Hello Mick, I remember Brooklands very well, especially Jack Leavers. Although some of my mates did not like him, I did and I thought him to be a good and caring man. My memory fails me regarding his official title, something similar to a headmaster. He always had any final decision with students and teachers. It would be wonderful if there were any photos of the old place.
