Sad this - not safe to park your car in your front garden

No, it's Belgrave Road, Wyken
The old Ford has been "safely" parked between the wall and the front of the house for eons, until a couple of weeks ago when someone kindly drove over the pavement, demolishing a bollard, into and through the wall, and into the car
Very sad |

I was going to put this under Coventry Transport, but I will try it here. Do you know where this is and what it was??
Always looking forward to looking at the past.

You are correct. Lydgate Rd it is Morgana, but even I dont know what it was. I think it may have been a bus clock stand, that's why I was going to put it under transport, but I was not sure. Always looking forward to looking at the past.

Morning everyone, that looks like a tram traction post (what used to hold the power line up) or should I say the bottom part of one.

There's been a lot of discussion on other sites about this - it has long been described as a tram traction pole (remains of), indeed I have it on my photosite as such
BUT (yes it's a BIG BUT)
Trams never ever ran past this spot
It's similar to this one on Kingfield Road - again, not a tram route Mmm |

Are there any signs at this location of any more - or is this the one-and-only? Maybe, like many things in modern day, the money just ran out and the project never came to fruition? |

Hi all
Just as there are bus stops now that have been incorrectly placed in the wrong roads, I am quite sure that it may have happened in the past. I do not know what they are.
This link will take you to a story about such a bus stop.

Hi, unless I am wrong, I think the two pictures of "lamppost and the remains of one" are in fact old fashioned sewer ventilation stacks. Parts of Birmingham had loads of them, and boy, did they smell. |

As the present Mrs Red has apparently been growing these in our garden, I very much doubt it! |
